medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
In at least one RC parish in the US (Mantua, OH - Bill, note the parish saint!), the Blessing of Throats is observed as noted in the bulletin (or the list for the liturgical year):

I'm afraid I can't search every parish, but I suspect the practice is as widespread as ever. I went to an abbey for Mass and there was no blessing there - at least not that I knew of. Perhaps there was for monks and seminarians at a later time.
