Dear Mohammad,
You may find this interesting:
Friedman, Ken. 1997. "Design Science and Design Education." The
Challenge of Complexity. Peter McGrory, editor. Helsinki: University
of Art and Design Helsinki UIAH, 54-72.
It covers the case of studio teaching and learning in history,
especially the ancient craft guilds.
You'll find a slightly updated version in
Friedman, Ken. 2002. "Towards an integrative design discipline." In
Creating Breakthrough Ideas: The Collaboration of Anthropologists and
Designers in the Product Development Industry. Susan E. Squires and
Bryan Byrne, editors. Westport, Connecticut: Bergin and Garvey,
200-214.
There is less studio material in that version because Bryan Byrne and
Ed Sand wrote a fine chapter on studios -- if you can get the book,
that's the one you'll find especially useful.
You might also find two books helpful:
Buster, Kendall and Paula Crawford. 2007. The Critique Handbook. A
Sourcebook and Survival Guide. Upper Saddle River, New Jersey:
Pearson Prentice Hall.
Doidge, Charles, with Rachel Sara, and Rosie Parnell. Cartoons by
Mark Parsons. 2000. The Crit. An Architecture Student's Handbook.
Oxford: Architectural Press.
Yours,
Ken
