Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto
Heritage Sector Partnership
LOtC Heritage Co-ordinator
£24,500 (pro rata) - 4 days per week (flexible)
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced part-time Co-ordinator to act
as a link between members of the Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto
(LOtC) Heritage Sector Partnership (HSP), and to support the work of the HSP
and its Chair from October 2007 to March 2008.
The Co-ordinator's responsibilities include: building up the heritage sector's
network of networks; collecting the "evidence"; acting as the main point of
contact between the HSP and the communications and the Out & About package
contractors; collecting and editing information for the contractors;
collecting, editing and sharing examples of good practice; producing
advocacy materials for heritage sector LOtC networking events; and
organising meetings of the HSP, taking notes, etc.
Essential: excellent strategic thinking and planning, research, analytical
and organisational skills; self-starter with initiative.; excellent
networking and verbal/written communication skills; understanding of the
importance of learning outside the classroom across the heritage sector and
current issues; ability and willingness to travel throughout England; and
good presentation, advocacy, administrative and IT skills
