Subject: Evaluation
Hello Gem Listers!
I am currently supervising a Project Scotland volunteer (young person on full time volunteering placement). I would like her to evaluate a new family resource pack which we are developing together. We tend to rely on written feedback forms, which are not always the most effective way of evaluating informal activities. I would like her to design and implement a qualitative form of evaluation eg observation, or alternatively a child-friendly evaluation technique. The aims of doing this? It would be good for her to understand the need for evaluation at heritage sites,it would build her confidence, and it would look good on her cv!
Now for the question - is anyone running an evaluation training course in September or early October (the idea is to develop and trial the resource in the school October holidays) or does anyone have any tips on evaluation?
Regards
Evelyn
