The ABC of Working With Schools has the Learning Outcomes form I
developed and have used a lot to help teachers focus on what they want
to get out of a visit/display/object.

Go to Developing Services for Schools from menu on left and then choose
Consulting With Teacher from pink list; the Learning Outcomes form is
one of the downloads.

Subject: Teacher Consultation
Morning everyone
Can I pick your brains please!?
I am running a teacher consulation next week to go over some new
galleries being developed here at Luton Museums Service (Stockwood Park
Museum - soon to become Stockwood Discovery Centre in July 08!) as well
as new/adapted taught sessions to support them and hence their teaching
when they visit the museum.
I am planning on looking over plans, and object choices as well as
gallery themes and layout.
Do any of you have any experience of successful formats for this kind of
work? I.e. what sort of thing works best?! Discussion, mind mapping or
other types of writing?
Any ideas gratefully recieved!
I will post all responses back to the list and the outcome of the
consulation itself (general things like what formats worked best rather
than site specific info unless, of course, anyone is interested - please
do let me know if that is the case and I will be happy to share this.)
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Eleanor Payne
