medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Three suggestions from Italian women, two from saints lives and one from
Dante
Villana de Botti and Lucy of Narni, among the blessed, I am afraid
probably not well known, but they had joyful visions of dancing with the
saints.
the third is Matelda who danced Dante from the top of Purgatory into
Paradise. Another spelling for Matelda is "Matilda", so one can think of
the famous "Waltzing Matilda".
hope these help.
