I just thought I'd make you aware of a problem that's cropped up today. The
spam/abuse filters on JANET's servers (the ones that handle GEM and all the
other JISCMAIL accounts) have blocked all incoming emails from Blueyonder -
now owned by Virgin Media, one of the UK's largest internet service
providers. As a result, anything I send to any UK academic institution is
being returned. I'm hoping this message gets through - I'm sending via an
old Freeola dialup account.
If your posts would potentially benefit from replies from independent
suppliers
like myself, it would be worth including an alternative email contact
address
that's not on a university server, until the row's resolved.
I'll report in when they sort it out.
