might be of interest to others on the list.

many thanks, Andre Yves.
i went to the site and downloaded the article, to my surprise quite rapidly (3
seconds?).
it is 27 pages long, but only 335 kb, which struck me as really miniscule, for
the usually KB-gluttonous .pdf format.
the monstrous size of most Acrobat files is one of the major drawbacks to the
format, in my experience.
i saw this once before, when downloading a copy of The Gospel of Judas from
the National Geographic site --a document of medium length but less than
80kb.
does anyone happen to know if the newest version of Acrobat (i've got 7.0) has
a feature which allows for compression, without degrading the image quality
--which in this case looks very, very good??
the article itself seems quite good, though perhaps a bit uneven, with this
extraordinary statement near the beginning:
"The lifeblood of the church originated in the sanctuary where God was
made..."
mmmmm....
