Perhaps, but you've been receiving responses to all your posts, & they
stick I think. Certainly, if you want cynicism, lying one's way into an
illegal war in which one's military has caused the deaths of at least
300,000 & up to 900,000 people (against which even Darfur pales) takes
the cake.
I suspect that many of those pointing to the disregard for habeas
corpus, rule of law, etc are doing so because they (we) somehow
(perhaps foolishly) expected more of democratic governments of the
leading western states (which have trumpeted their superiority in these
matters for some time now). And we feel, terribly, implicated in all
this, & so sick about it.
