Re Bronze age/ Iron age room settings - the obvious solution is a visit to
the museum at Flag Fen. They have reconstructions of both Bronze Age and
Iron Age roundhouses.

Subject: Prehistory Activites
Hello all,
Over the summer we are having a prehistory exhibition and there are a couple
of things I was looking for ideas/advice on.
1. We are having a large sandpit for the kids to excavate in made up and we
were looking into getting some sort of raised mamouth skeleton made for the
bottom of the pit so that the kids could excavate all the way down to it.
Has anyone had anything like this made or know of anyone who can make this
sort of thing?
2. We also want replica animal bones for them to excavate, again does anyone
know a supplier.
3. We are thinking of trying to make up either a bronze age or iron age
'room setting' but are lacking on the materials. Can anyone advise on this?
Sorry for the list of questions but with the wealth of knowledge out there I
figured someone must have an answer for these questions! I am happy to
compile the replies should anyone else be interested.
Thanks in advance
Alex
