I haven't mentioned the ABC of Working With Schools for a week or two! It includes a section on Learning Out of School including family learning.

Subject: Family Learning in Museums
Good evening GEM-listers. Greetings from sunny, cold Carlisle!
Please can anyone help?
We have a new position starting soon at the Museum who will be responsible
for Family provision. I am keen for her to:
* find out more - any publications, articles, information that anyone
can recommend?
* Visit other Museums to find out more about their family learning
programmes especially in the North
* Get some ideas of activities for families especially in the
Galleries - any suggestions?
* Make contact with other family learning practitioners whose role it
is to interact/work with families in the Museum environment
I look forward to many exciting replies. Thank you in anticipation.
