GEM Professional Development Researcher
GEM wishes to recruit a part-time researcher to undertake various tasks over
the forthcoming year as part of the development and implementation of GEM's
professional development strategy. These tasks include:
a.. developing and organising GEM's national training events for a year
(two in 2007 and one in the first part of 2008)
b.. undertaking some research on training providers (GEM and non-GEM); and
c.. analysing responses to questions posed on GEM Jiscmail and producing
some material for the website on the most frequently mentioned CPD topics.
The researcher will work to the GEM Director and under the strategic
guidance of GEM's Professional Development Committee.
It is expected that the researcher will work from home or their offices, and
be appointed on a freelance basis for a fixed fee of £5,000 although
employing someone on a PAYE basis is possible if required.
