Reflecting On the Past and Looking to the Future: 2007 and Beyond
A regional seminar, organised by the South East Museum Hub and MLA South East, will mark the Bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade in the British Empire.
This seminar is aimed at museum, library and archive staff and volunteers, interested in planning events or activities to mark the Bicentenary and the wider diversity agenda beyond 2007. It will include regional case studies and an opportunity to visit the Royal Naval Museum's exhibition: 'Chasing Freedom: the role of the Royal Navy in the Suppression of the Transatlantic Slave Trade'.
