And yet in 2001, as part of the York Early Music Festival, Paul McCreesh and
his Gabrieli Consort and Players performed there the mostly-Monteverdi "Mass
of Thanksgiving for Deliverance from the Plague, 21 November 1631". OK, a
'concert performance' (so to speak), but even so...
