EXPLOITING LIBRARY DESIGN AS A KEY TOOL IN MARKETING

Library professionals are increasingly engaged in marketing their service. The design of the physical space of any library offers tremendous marketing opportunities. This highly interactive workshop concentrates on the central role of innovative and successful library design for marketing and one which does not necessarily involve large budgets, new builds or complete refurbishments. This workshop is designed to inspire and equip any librarian charged with marketing their service, to use the physical space of their library to the fullest potential.

WORKSHOP LEADER: ANGELA DOVE
Angela is a consultant and trainer in library design. Internationally respected for her work on the design of physical space for knowledge, she focuses on engaging front line workers in the design and marketing process and consults, researches and writes on the impact of library space design for marketing. Recent articles include: Library Design as Marketing: publ. Update. March 2006. She delivered the recent CILIP and MLA national programme of regional workshops:" Libraries By Design".
