Hi Ron,
looking at all that my best guess is that it's:
> <STARCONF_DEFAULT_STARLINK left set to default /star>
that may be causing you problems. Make sure that any old Tcl/Tk include
files in /star/include are removed before doing "make configure-deps" (the
old version will be 8.2).
Don't know what the origin of your existing /star hierarchy is, but if
it's at all important (or not derived from a CVS build) it might be best
to just move it out of the way, or set STARCONF_DEFAULT_PREFIX to point
elsewhere for the moment.
