With apologies for cross-posting.
The Centre for Recording Achievement is holding an event at the University
of Bolton on April 25th 2006 on "Learning styles and thinking skills:
contributing to the development of effective practice in learning and
teaching". Speakers will be Frank Coffield, member of the team who produced
the LSDA systematic review of learning styles and Steve Higgins, member of
the teams who produced the LSDA evaluation of thinking skills framework and
the EPPI systematic review. The day will address both theory and practice:
participants will gain a better understanding of the range of learning
styles models available and grounds for judging their value, and will also
gain a range of ideas to incorporate the development of thinking skills
into their practice.
The cost is £65 for participants from CRA member institutions, and £85 for
non-members.
