Dear Colleague
Netskills will be running the following workshops at Nottingham University in January 2007:
1. Effective e-Learning with Moodle, 11th January
-----------------------------------------------------
The Moodle learning environment is becoming increasingly popular in the UK education sector. It is free to use and is designed using sound pedagogical principles. This workshop introduces Moodle, its main features and demonstrates why Moodle is different from other learning environments.
2. Information Skills: Is Google Enough? 16th January
-----------------------------------------------------
This workshop will give you a greater understanding of how Google works and equip you to search it, and other sites, more effectively. The workshop also provides you with the opportunity to explore what else is out there, learn about new developments in searching and think about how to evaluate web sites for quality.
3. Blogs, Wikis & Social Networking, 17th January
-----------------------------------------------------
This practical workshop explores the impact of the web on plagiarism in education, and enables attendees to examine online and other methods of deterring and detecting it.
These workshops also support our BTEC-accredited qualifications:
