FINAL REMINDER
We still have some spaces on GEM's next national training day in London on
Developing ICT for Museum Learning. It is being held at the British Museum
on Tuesday 7 February.
This day will provide an overview of ways in which ICT can support learning
in museum contexts, and an opportunity for non-specialists to hear from ICT
and learning specialists about developing museum projects. It will look at
planning, design, practical implementation and evaluation of effective
websites for learning in the widest sense. Other areas will be introduced
such as learner-creator interventions: e.g. using digital photos and video,
animation, simple PowerPoint and Word templates, microphones to capture
and/or stimulate visitors' reactions while in the museum.
Speakers include Martin Bazley, Peter Davies, Gail Durbin, Rosie Cardiff,
Paul Clifford and Adam Goldwater.
Please visit the GEM website www.gem.org.uk for more details and a booking
form.
Last date for applications is 31 January.
