This informal day will provide an introduction to Visitor Studies and
Evaluation in museums, galleries and heritage organisations, covering the
basics:-
What is evaluation: what is it good for? Why do we do it? What do
we do with it?
A whistle-stop guide to designing your evaluation questionnaire
Inspiring Learning for All (ILFA) case studies
Practical ways to find out peoples opinions
Speakers will include:
Jenni Fuchs, Visitor Studies Officer, National Museums of Scotland
Sarah Hunt, Visitor Studies Project Curator, Glasgow Museums
Nicola Bell, Museum Education and Evaluation Consultant
There will be an opportunity for networking and to share case studies or
examples of best practice - please feel free to contribute or to raise
questions.
Cost: £20.00 for GEM members; £40.00 for non-members (includes lunch).
