I'm not sure that these characters (like Keitel) are simply immoral, rather
I think the criminal setting seems to be almost a formal device for creating
a non military, everyday, even domestic world within a 'rule of law' society
where tragic murder/mayhem can take place. Still perhaps this damages the
Aristotelean credentials (and not just the credentials but the tragicality
itself) and perhaps it says something about the possibility of modern
tragedy.
