We rely on internal and external QA results. Our Trust in fact has 11
comparable analysers spread over 5 sites. Common QC materials and
limits, aided by access to a commercial site which enables us to compare
one machine with others, is sufficient to maintain adequate
comparability. A system that maintains comparability between sites in a
trust ought to also be OK in the situation of 2 machines side by side.
