We are having a series of exchanges on this topic over at the "Idea Factory' of
the New Mobility Agenda (at http://www.newmobility.org
<http://www.newmobility.org/> ) and if you wish to click
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NewMobilityCafe/message/1675 you can see the
direction that we are trying to head on this. (There is also some intitial
discussions of this at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_transport#Free_systems.)
The starting position is a bit political, even polemic, but should I believe not
be trivialized even so. What we are looking for is further information in the
literature on this subject, and also to invite your participations and
contributions. You will understand that this is a rich topic and well worth
serious discussions.
We are planning to do one of our early New Mobility Advisory/Briefs on this
topic, so it is important that we are fully prepared to do justice to this
subject. And if any of you might be interested to join our expert discussion
panel for this, it would be a pleasure to welcome you.
We look forward to hearing from you on this.
With all good wishes
Eric Britton
