Well... Years ago someone explained (or maybe reconstructed) it to me as
the day to celebrate the saints who aren't, officially, saints: the good
"ordinary" people who, in the separation of sheep and goats, are on the
side of the sheep and the shepherd.
Historically, probably not particularly authentic; but a doctrine that
can't grow will suffer dieback, won't it?
