Dear colleagues,
We would like to call your attention to the following session at AOGS
2006 to be held on July 10-14 in Singapore, hoping abstract
submissions from some of you.
SE04: Deformation and fluid flow in the Earth
Following the successful session at AOGS 2005, we further highlight
recent progress in field, experimental and theoretical studies on
deformation and fluid flow in the Earth, and encourage dialogue
between Asian and Oceanian researchers working on this theme from
different aspects. All features and processes of deformation and
fluid flow in rocks and minerals are considered, at any scale as well
as within any part of the Earth. Specific topics include macro- to
microstructures in naturally and experimentally deformed rocks and
minerals, kinematic and dynamic analyses of those structures,
rheology and permeability of those rocks and minerals, and
theoretical and numerical modeling of deformation processes. We also
encourage young Asian and Oceanian scientists to present their work
to this international forum.
The conference details and abstract submission are available at the
following website:
http://www.asiaoceania-conference.org/index.html
Abstract submission deadline is January 15, 2006, although it may be
extended.
Contact us for any further information. We are looking forward to
seeing you in tropical Singapore!
