One of my favorite gospel-author illustrations is the St. John from
the book of Lindisfarne -- he has a rather bewildered expression on
his face, and he is gesturing toward the eagle who is flying off with
his book in the background. One of my friends has captioned this:
"St. John's Overdue Library Book" and imagines the saint saying 'But
wait -- I haven't finished reading it yet!'
