CIRCACTIVE "greater than" should work but "less than" can be problematic
since any patrons who have used the library in the current academic year
would be excluded. This would have to be run soon after the end of the
statistical year in order to be reliable. You could exclude patrons
created since the end of the statistical year.
I remember hearing some time ago that users of electronic resources (via
WAM?) might be counted as "active users" but I wonder what's happened to
this enhancement.
By the way the question is not asking about the SRX ptypes, though the
same search strategy should work for all patron types.
