Those of you who attended the European IUG meeting in Stirling will
remember that Innovative representative seemed surprised to hear about
this shortcoming. As you know the use of the booking module for short
loan (or "reserve" to use their terminology) books seems more common in
the UK than in North America, though based on messages on the Innopac
list more US libraries are beginning to use the module for books in
addition to booking equipment and rooms.
I think it's worthwhile for UK (and other) libraries interested in having
this "fault" rectified as a matter of urgency to write to Innovative by
submitting an enhancement request to [log in to unmask] Also if someone
hasn't done so already we should submit it as an IUG enhancement (under
Circulation Ancillary)
