Dear All
Don't forget Adult Learners' Week runs from 21st to 27th May and is supported by a major promotional campaign from NIACE in England and Wales (Adult Learners' Week also happens in Scotland and Northern Ireland but is promoted by other agencies). Your local and regional press, TV and radio will be looking for stories relevant to this important campaign.
If you would like to raise public awareness of a. your museum and/or b. adult learning opportunities in your museum, NOW IS THE TIME!
If NIACE is unaware of your proposed events then it will not be able to promote them. So, if you are planning/have planned activities for adults between 21st and 27th May please let us know and we will work to get you a higher profile in the media and, by extension, develop greater public awareness of the wealth of learning opportunities provided by museums.
Anyone in Wales can give me a call on my number below and/or log onto out website (www.niacedc.org.uk) and upload their events onto our online calendar of events. Anyone in England can do the same by logging on to www.niace.org.uk
Northern Ireland colleagues: www.egsa.org.uk
Scotland colleagues: www.salp.org.uk
Help us make Adult Learners' Week 2005 the best yet! Good luck, and I look forward to a flood of calls and uploaded events!
