Hello,
I'd be really interested to compare notes with anyone who runs sessions relating to the Home Front/ life during the Second World War for KS2. How long are your sessions, who runs them - Museum staff or freelancers, what do they cover subject-wise, do they involve handling, do they involve group-work, how do they encourage participation, where are they held, etc...
We run KS2 sessions at the D-Day Museum called 'The Home Front Experience' - these are successful - but nothing is perfect. I am looking at ways of improving these sessions or perhaps offering a new-style session on a trial basis.
I would be happy to share what we do in our sessions and will include a summary of what we offer when I feedback to the list.
Kind regards
Bryony
