"Touching on every aspect of tactile graphics"

RNIB National Centre for Tactile Diagrams
Recently, we sent your organisation details about the third
international conference on tactile graphics (images which are touched
rather than looked at). We just thought we'd update you on how the
conference is developing.
Again we would appreciate it if your organisation could pass these
details on to anyone who may also be interested in attending this
conference. Please find a PDF version of the conference flyer attached
to this email and a text version at the bottom of this email.
- Programme: A staggering amount of abstracts were submitted and
reviewed by our international content group, guaranteeing that this
year's conference will be an exciting and diverse event! The full
programme is now available on our website, so come and have a look at
the choice of presentations offered www.nctd.org.uk/conference.
- Exhibition and pre-conference workshops: The conference also features
a fascinating exhibition as well as informative pre-conference
workshops.
- Registration: Book your place now! Registration is also open on our
website www.nctd.org.uk/conference/Conf2005/registration.asp
This year's international conference promises to be even bigger than our
previous events, drawing together a wide range of people including:
transcribers and designers, end-users, disability support staff,
researchers, technology developers and printers, cartographers,
government and public bodies, access consultants, among others.
So if you are involved in the production, use or support of tactile
graphics, or would just like to know more about them, please join us on
1-2 December in Birmingham, UK!
Thank you
The Conference Team
