Apologies if you are not a South East museum but this may be of interest
I am looking for Case Studies of good practice working with school-age children in South East museums .This is for the ABC of Working with Schools, an online resource which I am working on for the South East Hub. The ABC will be a development tool for those museums wanting either to "start from scratch" with services to schools or to develop a new aspect. I hope that it will ultimately be useful nationally, but in the first instance it will be aimed at the South East. There will also be a tandem site aimed at teachers to enable them to visit museums and understand the potential of museums to support learning.
If you have any examples of working with school-age children in the following areas I would be very grateful for your contribution and would of course credit you/your museum.
* cross-curricular work linking any of the following
* literacy
* english
* numeracy
* mathematics
* science
* design technology
* art and Design
* History (local)
* Geography
* Music
* Dance
* Drama
Also working with Special Needs, Specialist Schools, Extended Schools inc Aftyer School Clubs, Homework Clubs, Museum clubs or Youbg Archaeology Clubs.
I attach Case Study guidelines - don't worry if not all the boxes are relevant, just fill in those which are. Please contact me if you have any queries or would like to know more.
Best wishes
