hi all
following GEM discussion on care for children in museums, CILIP have produced
the following...
CILIP Revised Edition Of 'A Safe Place for Children' Available Online.
CILIP's 'A Safe Place for Children' is written specifically for staff who need
a clearer understanding of their duty of care for young people using libraries.
Managing Information reports that revised version proposes 'Libraries for
children and young people are dynamic and exciting, but they must be a place
where young people feel secure and confident to enjoy the resources around them,
where they know that they will receive suitable help - above all libraries must
be a safe place for children.'
