ADVISORY TEACHER FOR CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT: CUMBRIA
Part time (0.6 FTE) post or secondment. Fixed term contract until 31
August 2007.
Salary: Soulbury 6 – 10; (£34,635 - £38,955, pro rata based on September
2005 salary scales) 0.6FTE.
The Advisory Teacher for Cultural Development is a new partnership post,
supported by MLA North West (The Museums Libraries and Archives Council
for the North West) and Creative Partnerships Cumbria.
This newly created post is being offered in order to support schools to
develop policies and actions that will ensure that the contribution of
culture to educational achievement is recognised and developed across the
county.
The post involves establishing and brokering partnerships between schools,
cultural organisations, training providers and other appropriate bodies
throughout the county council and beyond.
The advisory teacher for cultural development will also have a key role to
play in providing advie and information to schools, and in the development
of a wide range of cultural opportunities that will support raising
standards of achievement among the county’s young people.
