Hello everyone,
I'm about to run our first INSET session at the Building Exploratory.
The teacher organising the visit has told me that the visit's in preparation
for school-wide project about the local area, and she wants the other
teachers to find out about how they can use the Building Exploratory as a
way of supporting their teaching in school. So I already have some idea what
topics they'll be looking at and what elements from our workshops might
particularly relevant/appropriate. But as for the practice...
So how have you gone about running INSET sessions? Do you show teachers
exactly what you'd be doing with the children and that's it, or do you
provide special activities just for the grown-ups but that are
linked/similar to the workshops for schools? Have got any particular
recommendations and/or warnings?
any information/advice greatly appreciated!
best wishes,
Amanda
