Dear all,
I am organising a training day for a group of museums that either have a
limited or non-existent education programme. The aim of the training day
will be to give the museums some simple, practical tips on how to set up an
education programme (focusing on a KS 1&2 audience) and how to run a
successful museum education session.
One of the workshops I want to run is a kind of "what not to do " - as we
all learn by making mistakes! Does anyone know of any training materials
that illustrate bad museum education sessions? I'm thinking of training
videos, photographs, documented scenarios - anything like that. I can
remember that we used videos that highlighted poor classroom management when
I was doing my PGCE, I just wonder whether there is something similar for
museum educators.
Any thoughts gratefully received!
Best wishes,
Jane
