Well, you're not doing so bad, telling them where to get off -- neither
are a few others. Seems we do have some balls left after all. Lists do
attract mispostings, I suppose, people just doing a general round-up
of poetry sites without bothering to check content, a kind of spam in its
way. But I like this list for its variety and occasional irascibility: I don't
think it's got terminal yet.
I'm trying to canvass opinion about the relation between critical
practice, particularly "close reading" or "practical criticism" and
neo-modernist, avant-garde, linguistically innovative (whatever)
poetries. I don't want to define it too much more than that at this stage
as I'd like to attract a wide range of response, maybe even some of
that irascibility I like so much when it's directed at other people (ouch!)
