Don't know if I've time to adopt a decade -- sounds suspiciously like work
to me! -- but if people want to know a bit more about Irish modernism, and
happen to be in Dublin in October, they might do worse than attend:
'continuings':
>
> a celebration of the life and work of Brian Coffey (1905-1995)
>
> Th. M. Uí Chadhain (2041 B), Arts building
>
> University of Dublin, Trinity College
>
> 21st - 22nd October 2005
It's free, both academics working on Irish (neo-)modernism and poets
involved in that area since the 1960s will be there, there'll be readings of
Coffey's work and opportunities to discuss both it and wider questions
surrounding neo-modernist poetics. I've posted about this before, but I hope
you don't mind the reminder...
