SALARY £16,814 PER ANNUM, PLUS ENHANCEMENTS (PENDING PAY REVIEW)
You will deliver a programme of live events and presentations to a wide
audience of Museum visitors, linked to the collections and Special
Exhibitions, including science shows, gallery talks and demonstrations of
working machinery.
Reporting to the Public Programmes Manager, you will also be responsible
for generating new ideas for programmes, researching, writing scripts and
making models/props to aid presentations and events. You will have
experience of presenting to a live audience, preferably in a museum or
science centre. Some technical expertise is required and full training will
be provided, in preparing and operating working machinery and completing
science demonstrations.
Successful candidates will be educated to at least HNC level or equivalent,
ideally in a science-related subject, coupled with relevant experience in a
quality, customer focused environment. You will also have a proven track
record of communicating effectively to a wide audience and be a dynamic
team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
