Hi all,
We recently had someone from our local Sure Start interested in using our
venue (historic house museum) for 'stay and play'/holiday club activities,
for children aged 2-4 years. She was very concerned however, that we, as an
organisation, weren't registered with OFSTED for early years education. As a
result, she says she is unable to use the building. All she really wanted
was for us to provide a room as their venue was too small. We would have
offered an activity as well, but they would have provided adequate staffing,
and all our staff are CRB checked.
Has anyone else come across this? I had always assumed that if the carers
(who would have come with the children) were registered, and we were just
providing a room, there wouldn't be a problem.
Any thoughts very welcome!
