The Yorkshire Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (YMLAC) is the
regional development agency for museums, libraries and archives in
Yorkshire and the Humber. Our role is to provide strategic leadership,
advocacy, advice and support to the sector.
Nationally it has been identified that audiovisual heritage is at risk and
strategies are required to begin the process of development and change.
As part of this work there is a need to create a regional strategy for the
development of audiovisual collections in Yorkshire and the Humber.
YMLAC is looking for a consultant to undertake the preparatory work
necessary for the creation of the strategy, provisionally entitled ‘Reel
Yorkshire’. This will involve a survey and assessment of audiovisual
collections in Yorkshire and production of a regional map of these
collections.
The brief and specification is now available at www.ymlac.org.uk. The
deadline for application is Tuesday 27 September 2005, with interviews on
Tuesday 11 October 2005.
