The Yorkshire Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (YMLAC) is carrying
out a survey of audiovisual collections in its region.
The aim of the survey is to compile a list of organisations in Yorkshire
that hold collections of audiovisual materials, particularly those with an
archival, educational or historic value. We are interested in all moving
image and sound formats such as film, video, discs, tapes and digital files
and all types of organisation including public archives and libraries,
universities, media companies, community broadcasting groups and amateur
film and music societies.
A number of organisations have been directly emailed with a request to
complete the survey questionnaire. If your organisation has not received
such as request, but holds such AV materials, please complete the
questionnaire by accessing the following link
http://www.tfpl.com/questionnaire/ymlac/ymlac01.cfm
Closing date for responses: Friday 20 January 2006
The results will be used by YMLAC to shape a strategy for the long term
preservation and development of audiovisual collections in the region. The
information gathered will not be used for any marketing or commercial
purposes and will not be disclosed to any party outside YMLAC and TFPL Ltd
(the company that designed and is hosting the questionnaire).
