I have been asked by my head of department to investigate all educational
provision options. We currently have no dedicated education officer (which
would be the obvious choice) and tend to use frellancers to deliver
sessions already in place.
One idea was to ask an educator to set up their own business based in the
museum, whereby they take some of the money from the schools and run it as
an arms length practice, theoretically meaning that we don't have to pay
for freelancers.
Has anyone had experience or heard of this kind of practice elsewhere?
Many thanks
