Dear all
One way to address this would be to arrange for (and pay for) a KS1
teacher from a local school to visit your museum and talk to staff about
their classroom practice. Alternatively, or in addition, museum staff
might be able to visit a school to observe teachers in action. Contact
the Access and Learning team of your regional agency (MLAC)to find out
more about funding for teacher-museum placements.
Best wishes

Subject: [GEM] How to talk to children
Does anybody have a simple guide on how museum staff should phrase
questions when talking to schoolchildren, in particular keystage 1
classes? I'm not looking for anything complicated, just a few dos and
don'ts.
Cheers
Jason
