Another bit of canon law:
The canon Ecclesiae (X 3.49.9) in Friedberg's Corpus Iuris Canonici,
vol. 2, col. 657 is a decretal of Grrgory IX claims immunity from lay
interference for any church in which the Church's rites are celebrated,
even if it is not consecrated.
