Hello Everyone,
I was a member of this list a year ago and now I have joined again.
I am doing research on 'brain death' , coma, and cases of people waking
up when they were supposedly dead.
Respondeo Oriens:
I wonder if you are familiar with the case of Raymond Diocrès? There is
a miniature depicting his funeral in the Très Riches Heures of Jean,
Duc de Berry. Apparently at the funeral of Raymond Diocrès, a canon of
Notre-Dame de Paris, the dead man rose up in his coffin and said (in
French): "I have been called by the just judgment of God, I have been
judged by the just judgment of God, and I have been condemned by the
just judgment of God." It would seem that the incident caused Saint
Bruno to retire into solitude, and it is therefore recorded in
Carthusian sources.
Bill.
