Hi one and all!
I know you, like me, are up to your eyes in exams. However, I thought it two
minutes well spent to vent my rage.........it does me good and relieves
stress levels.
The subject is speed cameras, with congratulations going to Edexcel for
finding yet another way to 'fine' us for not being quick enough.
Reference, of course, is to Late Requests for Special Arrangements.
Apparently, we will now have to pay a fine of £10 for each late request.
It doesn't appear to have entered the head of Jerry Jarvis, Director General
Qualifications, that his dates are TOTALLY UNREALISTIC! My crystal ball does
not predict which examinations the student may enter for in three months
time. I cannot control the date a student is discovered to have a
disability. I can however suggest they simplify the process! Really would
welcome a visit from Jerry, especially tomorrow when I have
Citizenship/General Studies/Law and ICT all running in the same session.
Clashes are so horrific that I think I'll be lucky to survive the day. Of
course, I forgot, I've got nothing better to do and I could fill my day by
applying for a few Special Arrangements for summer.
Thanks for listening one and all, and Jerry, if you ever get to see this
e'mail, I advise you to get out of your tower and visit a few of your
customers. We don't miss dates for the fun of it, we don't miss dates
because we are lazy, we don't agree with your dates, we don't want to be
constantly paying punishing charges because of unrealistic requirements.
Good news is that the higher your bills the less money we have. Eventual
outcome is I or the board goes because we cannot afford both. Reckon either
way I'm a winner!
Regards,
Ken
Ken.
