A studentship is now available within the MRC Health Services Research
Collaboration, based at the Centre for Health Economics, University of
York
Project title:
'The Optimal Development and Efficient Regulation of Health Care
Technologies: The Role of Value of Information Analysis'
Candidates should have:
. A Masters degree in Economics/Health Economics or in a quantitative
discipline such as Statistics, Operations Research or Epidemiology
Desirable, but not essential are:
. Skills in decision analysis, Bayesian statistics and use of WinBUGs
. An understanding of alternative regimes for the regulation of health
technologies and of economics of industrial organisation
. Some knowledge of clinical epidemiology
Funding is for four years and offers excellent opportunities for
integrated
training and personal development.
