When did they say that they are moving to IP recognition only and when does this come into effect?
Here in Birmingham we have negotiated full text access through our journal supplier (we order as a consortium all the Hospital libraries in Birmingham, Solihull and part of the Black Country) and there is no embargo and no need for IP recognition. You just have an extra password that you need to use instead of ATHENS recognition.

Yes, I was equally alarmed by the letter, especially as they had already
tried this and had backed off after protest. At the moment the NHSScotland
e-Library is using Ovid, but renewal dates are looming & we have been asked
to look at the Dialog interface. We will just have to deluge the publishers
with protest - & perhaps even threaten to cancel subscriptions?
