Dear All,
I’m missing a reference which I hope someone may be able to help me with:
I’m trying to find something on the life-cycle of GIS implementation
within organisations and user groups. i.e.
Stage 1: Initially used by tech-heads
Stage 2: Extended throughout organisation but not generally used
Stage 3: Becomes a toolbox used by all
Stage 4: Thorough theoretical and data quality issues addressed
I know the above is a bit iffy but I remember someone writing something
like this in what could have been a GIS and organisations book. I really
want it to illustrate the historical adoption of GIS within archaeology
(i.e. from a specialist tool into the position where you can’t get a grant
unless you use GIS somewhere in your funding application!)
Thanks in advance for any help
Ant
